Support can look different depending on your changing needs. Here are some ways I can offer support through this transition into parenthood:
Time to mother yourself to feel protected, honored and replenished
Listening, positive reinforcement, reassurance and emotional support
Breast/ Chest/ Bottle Feeding support
Newborn Care/ Baby Bonding
Baby Sleep/ Baby Wearing
Light housekeeping, baby laundry, household organization
Light meal prep or full meal prep and fridge/freezer stocking
Gentle education, resources, evidence based informational support and referrals when needed
Put Nurture and Nourish
on your wish list!
Consider asking for doula services on your baby shower wish list or have a “meal prep shower” for friends to support you through guided meal preparations vs a “traditional baby shower”. Meal support can be especially helpful if you know someone experiencing pregnancy nausea or hyperemesis gravidarum.
Family and friends want to support the new parents and giving the gift of a doula or meal support is the ultimate gift of love and support!
